Saalbach

Ski in Saalbach

Simply huge

The Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn offers skiing fun at the highest level and is considered one of the largest and best skiing areas in Austria with 270 downhill kilometers. Wide slopes, freeride fun, cool huts and never-ending action will make the hearts of sports fans beat faster. The numerous downhill runs ensure that beginners, professionals, young and old experience a unqiue winter holiday.

The inhabitants of Saalbach can look back with pride at a long tradition as a destination for skiers. As early as 1991, Saalbach-Hinterglemm was the venue of the Alpine Ski World Cup. Since 1999, the "Mountain Attack" has regularly taken place in Saalbach: this is an event during which ski mountaineering is practised competitively.

This suggests that classical skiers are just as well looked-after in Saalbach as fans of other types of snow sports. There are 10 kilometres of tracked cross-country skiing trails with a high trail on the Reiterkogel, ice skating rinks as well as sledging slopes with flood lights and ice curling.
