There are two emperors in Tyrol: one is wild and the other tame

To locals and insiders, the Wilder Kaiser is of course known as one half of the two mountain brothers, the Wilder Kaiser (wild emperor) and Zahmer Kaiser (tame emperor). Others will learn on site that the Tyrolean Kaiser Mountains are composed of two striking mountain ranges.

Ellmau is located directly in Austria’s largest skiing area, the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental. The slopes and sledge track lead to the village centre, where a great atmosphere reigns all winter long in comfy bars and during night skiing on the Ellmau Ski Night. Great emphasis is also put on winter sports in the neighbouring villages of Going, Scheffau and Söll.

The Wilder Kaiser region is great: 91 cable cars and state-of-the-art lifts make 279 kilometres of slopes accessible. Perfectly prepared slopes invite all to energetic carving and relaxed breaks in over 70 huts.

Skiing with snow guarantee:
Snowmaking is also used on the 225 kilometres of slopes so as to guarantee enough snow for skiing the entire season.
Video: Fly directly over the Kaiser Mountains in a helicopter and enjoy the fantastic panorama.

Lifts: 91
